Internet Futures

The internet has had a tremendous impact. It has been in our opinion as fundermental a change in peoples lives as television, and potentially can have a mind expanding role, as opposed the "dumbing down" impact of TV.

But the internet is a complex phenomenon, the wonderful impact of "information yearning to be free" is constantly undermined by the mass of that "information" being spam advertising.

The internet is also an organising medium for all sorts of unsavoury activity and whilst sometimes it gets galling to see the internet blamed for all and sundry, it cannot be denied that the internet has played a part. No parent can log onto internet relay chat view the groups available and not be concerned.

But time does not stand still, the interent is not what is was 5 years ago, and is transformed from when we first logged on in 1994.
