Introduction to the Foboz - Meta Search Engine

The Foboz Meta Search engine is software that allows you to search many different web search engines at once, and will remember your results.

General Searches/Search Categories

You can search the whole web or for specialist items such as books, computer games or health information, using Foboz's extensive and growing database of hundreds of search engines.

Keywords

The Foboz software uses a system of keywords, so that when you do a general web search it can also intelligently search specific search engines from its extensive database. This will retrieve far better results than a "shotgun" approach using only the general web search services.

Result Filters

Foboz has filters to allow control of shopping sites and for family safe content to ensure that you get the results you want!

Results Display

Foboz displays your search results, highlighting the keywords you searched for and ranking the results in a variety of fashions to help you see the result you want quickly.

Foboz detects and marks down "spam" results, so that you see the best results at the top of the list.

Search Engine Database

Foboz has a database of well over 300 search engines, a number that is growing daily.

Internet Explorer Integration

Foboz can optionally add a toolbar to Internet Explorer allowing you to search from and view search results directly from your Web Browser.
