Creating Callisto forums
In this section, you will continue to define the document Tutorial by adding some Callisto forums.
Contents
- adding a Callisto forum
- adding another Callisto forum
- the next step
NB - if your document Tutorial is not already open from the previous section, you need to open it by selecting File and Open and choosing Tutorial from the list of available documents. Be careful to select the document with the green Callisto icon and not the folder Tutorial.

Although Callisto will automatically assign all the topics it finds to the New Articles forum, much of its usefulness comes from the fact that you can control where the topics from a particular bulletin board will be stored. In fact, Callisto lets you assign the topics from each forum in a bulletin board to a different Callisto forum (and the topics from similar forums in different bulletin boards to the same Callisto forum!).
To see how this is done, in this section of the tutorial, you will create two Callisto forums in your Tutorial document. The next section will show you how to assign topics from the MarsJupiter forums to your Callisto forums.
Click the Add Callisto Forum button at the bottom of the Document Window to see the Edit Callisto Forum dialog:

Enter the following information:
(The Templates will be available in future releases of Callisto)
Click the Close button to complete the process.
Repeat the step 1! This time call your Callisto forum General.
Your document Tutorial should now contain one bulletin board and five Callisto forums and the document window should look like this:

We can now return to the forums in the MarsJupiter bulletin board and assign some of them to the two Callisto forums you have created.
